These cards do not move, but remain face-down until a Nightmare underneath one is defeated. Once this happens, reveal the Fog card’s unique effect and discard it. These effects rearrange your Traps and Nightmares, potentially wrecking your plans for survival. One Tide card is added to the rightmost Nightmare at setup and each time a Nightmare is moved to the right side of the sea, it also receives a Tide card. When Nightmares are defeated, their Tide cards are discarded – but they may return if the deck runs out.
